As a key piece of equipment in industrial surface treatment, the proper maintenance and accurate troubleshooting of sandblasting machines are essential measures to ensure operational efficiency, improve processing quality, and extend the service life of the equipment.
I. Daily Maintenance Points (Core Lifespan Extension Measures)
1. Air Supply System Maintenance
- Before starting the machine each day, drain the condensate from the air compressor, air tank, and filter to prevent moisture from entering the blasting pipeline, causing internal corrosion and abrasive agglomeration.
- Regularly check the oil-water separator filter element and clean or replace it every 1-2 months depending on usage frequency to ensure the compressed air is dry and clean.
2. Abrasive Management
- Only use abrasive types compatible with the equipment. Do not mix in metal impurities or large foreign particles to avoid accelerated wear on the nozzle and pipeline.
- Recycled abrasive should be screened regularly to remove broken particles and dust, maintaining its flowability and cleanliness.
3. Maintenance of Key Components
- Nozzle: Clean the inner wall of any residual abrasive after each use and check for wear. Replace the nozzle promptly when the nozzle orifice diameter increases by more than 15% to avoid increasing equipment load due to decreased spray pressure.
- Sandblasting gun/pipeline: Check weekly for cracks and leaks. Ensure joints are tight and sealed to prevent high-pressure air leakage from overloading the motor or air compressor.
- Seals: Check the integrity of door seals and flange seals monthly. Replace immediately if aged or deformed to prevent dust spillage and pressure loss during sandblasting.
4. Dust Collection System Maintenance
- Clean dust from the surface of the dust collector filter cartridges or bags after each operation. Check filter media for damage quarterly. Replace damaged media promptly to prevent dust from entering the electrical control system and causing short circuits or component aging.
- Ensure the dust collector fan inlet is unobstructed. Regularly clean dust from the fan impeller to maintain stable negative pressure inside the equipment.
II. Additional Precautions for Extending Equipment Lifespan
1. Standardized Operation: Operators must be trained before starting work. Over-pressure and over-duration operation of the equipment are strictly prohibited. Avoid no-load sandblasting or prolonged idle running.
2. Environmental Control: Place the sandblasting machine in a dry, well-ventilated environment to prevent moisture and corrosive gases from damaging the equipment. Clean the abrasive dust from the equipment surface and surrounding area promptly after operation.
3. Spare Parts Reserves: Keep spare parts such as nozzles, seals, and filter media readily available to avoid downtime due to component damage and reduce the risk of corrosion during equipment downtime.
