The difference of the forged steel ball and cast steel ball

1.Different raw material
(1)Cast steel ball, also called a casting grinding ball, is made from scrap steel, scrap metal, and other trashed materials.
(2)Forged steel ball ,select high quality round steel,low-carbon alloy ,high manganese steel, high carbon and high manganese alloy steel as raw material produced by air hammer forging process.
2.Different production process
Cast ball is a simple molten iron injection mold tempering, no compression ratio.
Forged steel ball from the lower material heating forging heat treatment, the compression ratio is more than ten times, close organization.
3.Different surface
(1)Rough surface: Cast steel ball surface has pouring mouth, sand hole and ring belt. The pouring port is prone to flattening and deformation and loss of roundness during use, which affects the grinding effect.
(2)Smooth surface:Forged steel ball is produced by forging process, the surface has no defects, no deformation, no loss of roundness, and maintains the excellent grinding effect.
4.Different breakage rate
The impact toughness of the forged ball is greater than 12 j / cm, while the cast ball is only 3-6 j / cm, which determines that the breaking rate of the forged ball (actually 1%) is better than the cast ball (3%).
5.Different usage
(1)Cast steel ball is low cost, high efficiency, and wide application range, especially in the dry grinding field of the cement industry.
(2)Forged steel ball:Both dry and wet grinding are possible: Due to the use of high-quality alloy steel and new high-efficiency anti-wear materials independently developed by our company, the alloy elements are reasonably proportioned and rare elements are added to control the chromium
content, thereby greatly improving its corrosion resistance, coupled with the advanced heat treatment process makes the grinding ball corrosion resistance is stronger, dry grinding and wet grinding are suitable.
